The Phenix City Story

The Phenix City Story is a movie based on the life of Albert Patterson’s son. It tells the story of Phenix City once known as Sin City back in the 1950s. It talks about the corruption of the politicians, judges, and law enforcers. Mob bosses would bride the law enforcers to look the other way while they got away with crimes. They did things such as gambling and intoxication. The law makers did more than just look away, they also bought votes for upcoming elections. The movie begins as Albert Patterson is running for office. His son in the movie is beaten while the police do nothing and just watch. I don’t know how much truth is in this movie, but it is an interesting movie to watch.
