English Blog Term 2

Things that drive me crazy are when people bully other people. I dont understand why someone would go out of their way to make fun of someone. It is more hard to be mean to someone than to be nice. I do not like people either, but never in my life have i made fun of someone. People that make fun of other people sound like children. They make fun of someone for things that person cannot even help. Things like their sexuality and religion. Making fun of someone is just ridiculous. It increases suicide rates all across the world. Why would someone want to make someone else kill themself? If we all just love each other like it says to in the Bible, the world will be a better place.

I recieved i full ride scholarship for softball just like my sister did. Unlike my sister i decided to not take it. I plan on transferring to Troy University next year instead of continuing at CVCC. My sister had an amazing time in the softball program and was upset to leave to further her athletic career at a four year school. I do not want anything holding me back from my final decision to attend Troy next year. I am at CVCC at this time to apply to scholarships for Troy and already have some credit hours. Even though i will transfer, i will miss CVCC.

It surprises me at how much college cost on the sheet. I already knew college was going to expensive, but actually seeing the numbers now that i am here, i wish i apllied to more scholarships in high school. Another surprising fact is how many full time students go to work. I go to work and i also take enough credit hours to be classified as a full time student. It is the worst thing anyone could ever do. The only day i get off every week is Saturday. After starting college i learned there are just not enough hours in the day. The absolute biggest shock on this fact sheet is that only 73% of students applied for any type of aid in 2016-2017. If the help is there, why not take it. Why is that number not 100? Are people that rich?

For me my worst part of writing is when i get stuck and do not know what else to write. One time in high school i was on paragraph three and i could noy for the life of me form a sentence. I stared at my paper for so long that my teacher asked if i needed help. I could not say yes because i did not even know what i needed help on. So i just sat there in my very uncomfortable chair watching other students write away on their paper. I got so lost that at one point i was just day dreaming of what was going to be for dinner that night. When the bell rang i had only written three paragraphs and everyone else was finished ten minutes before the rang. I could fix this problem by being more prepared in the future.

My biggest social media pet peeve is when people do not know how to be nice to others. Commenting and making fun of someone in any way is just ridiculous. That person is going out of their way to find a post they do not like and commenting something rude just to ruin someones day. Making fun of someone in any way is just disrespectful and makes me wonder how their parents raised them. Whenever i see a hateful comment i just want to show whoever’s mom it is and see what they say. Most ridiculous comments i see on post is about peoples weight. More than likely they already feel self conscious. So i wonder why they feel the need to make other people hate themselves even more.

At this current moment in time my favorite song is every country song that has ever existed. It is still summer in my head and in the summer time the only music that anyone needs to listen to is country. My reasoning is because of the sound of the guitar strings. Listening to the strings being played just makes me want to close my eyes and think of the beach. Sometimes i pretend i am actually on the beach. My love for country music in the summer began when i was a kid and i would go visit my grandma in Florida, and every time she would play the country radio station.

This blog is going to be about different topics. For example, it might be a political blog one day, but the next day it may be about my biggest pet peeve. I am excited for this class i am taking because it is on Monday through Thursday which means i will be done with this class sooner than my average classes. I like it this way because then i am able to start English 102. I am scared that i will get behind at one point if i am sick, but i am positive that i can easily make up work and be back on track.
